Recently I wrote a post about Sharp and the Sharp Aquos LED HDTV.  Sharp had announced through a press release that they were entering the LED residential market.  They along with others like Samsung and Sony are leveraging their LED knowledge and applying it to other markets besides just electronics.  I asked a rhetorical question regarding GE and the competition in the LED Lighting market.  Well, I will address right now what GE is doing about the competition:  GE is actually one of the largest producers of LED lighting systems, after all, GE brings things to light!  So, not to worry about GE and the LED market.  They are involved in a big way.  Good news for a more green planet.  Check out Green LED-Backlit LCD HDTVs at Save money.
